Living for 32.

I have so much to share but somehow it just all seems mundane and irrelevant in the grand scheme of life... even 5 yrs later it still seems somewhat raw and painful to even remember that day.....this time of year is always really hard for me to get through but I'll just leave it to this one quote I discovered back in 2008, weeks before my graduation from college:

"...I ask each of you to take the time to be a Hokie this week. Appreciate life a little more, take in every moment around you, count your blessings, tell the people around you that you love them, slow down, remember what's truly important in life. And live for those 32 that do not have that chance anymore."

No matter what happens in my life, I am lucky that I have it and air in my lungs so I am going to live it to the fullest.  Not only for me or my family, but all of my fallen Hokies from 04/16/07.

neVer forgeT. Live for 32.

watching this always makes me cry but Prof. Giovanni speaks the truth--we are virginia tech, we will prevail.

forever living for 32.

A New Addition...

On March 23, 2012 I adopted an adorable pug/chihuahua mix dog.  He is approximately 2 years old and was adopted from the Animal Adoption & Rescue Foundation in Winston-Salem, North Carolina! His name is Rusty and is absolutely amazing!  He is definitely taking some time to adjust to my house and my family but when he and I are together, we are a perfect fit!

Here are some pictures from the past couple wks:
Rusty is ready to come home!

J look at that face!!!

such a tiring first day at his new home, he couldnt wait to go to bed!

all comfy&cozy in his new bed&blanket!

he does this cute begging thing where he stands up and hangs his front paws until I take him outside or give him a treat haha! he also loves to look outside the window too!

Rusty loves to pose for the camera!!

OK well, im exhausted.  Ive been in Detroit visiting my older brother since Saturday (such a long story for a post when I get home).  I'll be here for a few more days before making my great return to NC.

Tomorrow, my brother is taking me to the Henry Ford Museum to see Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition --I'm so excited to see this but it's so sad when you really think abt what you're seeing.. you cant take cameras/cell phones inside so I wont be able to take any pictures but I will definitely make a post on my thoughts on the exhibit!

THEN, tom night my bro's gf's parents invited us over for dinner so that will be interesting! My momma taught me well &to never go to anyone's house empty handed so I am going to make my brownie trifle to take over b/c his gf told me how much she loves desserts and chocolate & Im going ot make my bro take me to a grocery so I can get some flowers or a small plant.  That's appropriate, right??

ANYWHO, time for bed!  hopefully i can sleep tonight. (been sick w anxiety alllll week. LAMELAMELAME.)
