WELL, I feel like I go through these crazy times in life where I just fall off the face of the earth and forget all about blogging.
Here I am, months since my last real blog post. To sum it up, 2013 has been rough on me so far. I had a fun bday eve with the family, ridic bday w the family, then my best friend from college came down the weekend after to visit and have a belated bday and bar passing celebration (many bad life decisions were made that weekend haha)! THEN, the next day after she left, the crazy flu that has been going around came to visit me. Needless to say, the past 15 days have been BANANAS. I dont wish this flu on anyone. It's so intense and debilitating. I guess the one upside= I lost 10+ lbs in the past two weeks. I've gained probably 2 of those lbs back but now that I'm feeling better, I'm going to try and slowly start exercising and running again. I still have chest congestion and a realllly bad cough but my sister the pharmacist said that will last for a couple weeks longer (UGH!). Probably have my first run either tomorrow or Tuesday.
Which leads me to my princess half marathon training update--
I missed the last THREE weeks of training. To be honest, my last run was on December 30th, which was a 10 mile run. I missed my 12mi long run and then 2-4mile long runs. This is all really depressing because I worked so hard from October-December 2012 to get back in race shape and staying on track of my training plan. Once I get back in the groove of things, I'm just going to take it one day at a time. Hopefully within a few weeks I can get my legs back to where they were before the new year. I get so much anxiety thinking about the race and everytime I read the silly facebook group for the PHM. OH WELL. I know I will finish and if it's not a PR, who the hell cares, I will be in DISNEYWORLD and running with princesses! ALso will no longer be making a princess jasmine costume anymore but I'll have similar colors as jasmine hahah.
OK In the rest of my life-- family is OOC. I havent really interacted with many friends in 2013 because of the flu so that's no good! Hopefully when I get back to my house I can see some friends and let them know I'm still alive haha!
Hopefully the rest of 2013 will be absolutely amazing. I've been spending a lot of time with my mom and dad (I've been at their house the past few weeks while sick with the flu so my mom could take care of me and my pup rusty!) I'm looking forward to spending time with my family (2 big cousin weddings and a few trips up to Detroit to visit my bro and his gf!) and planning all my race weekends! So far, I'm doing the Princess Half Marathon in February. I'm considering the Detroit Half Marathon in October (it's international--goes through Canada!!) and the Shamrock Half Marathon in VA Beach in March. Definitely doing the Danville Half Marathon in October/November! Hoping to add in a few 5K, 8K, and 10K races too!
ALSO, I hope to have a permanent job in 2013. Everyone cross your fingers for me. I have been applying everywhere from colleges and universities in NC and VA, federal jobs in DC (and some in NC), and legal jobs in Raleigh and Charlotte! Hopefully something will work out and bring something new to my life!
OK time for this partly sickly girl to get some rest. Took some delsyum and benadryl in addition to my antibiotics so I am getting drowsy and cannot be responsible for what I blog when delirious!
