Sunday Recipe: Chex and the City

Time for a new Sunday Recipe! I have a few new recipes I've used in the past few weeks so today I thought I would share the recipe for my favorite chex mix that I actually learned about way back in 2008! I found this recipe back then because it was out around the time the Sex and the City movie (the first one duh) came out and I thought it would be perfect during our first semester of law school when my study group would come over to my house for study sessions! I made this a while back for my sister and mom and they too loved the Asian spiciness.  I originally planned on making this when I was in Detroit last week but since I was so sick, I had to pick and choose what I used my energy for so this didn't really happen.

Here's the recipe:

all of the ingredients that I used! stir fry sauce instead of teriyaki, corn/wheat chex, goldfish, wasabi peas& chow mein noodles

the mix after about 75-90 minutes in the oven since I used probably 6-7 cups of Chex, whole stick of butter, &half bottle of stir fry sauce

after cooling, I added a ton of wasabi peas & the entire can of chow mein noodles

final product ready to be packed & mailed to my big brother!!!

What is your favorite flavor of chex mix? Have you made any at home experiments with different flavor combinations?? (I want to try an Italian/parmesan garlic adaptation next!!)

  1. This is an interesting flavor. I love wasabi peas, so I might give this a shot!

    1. DO IT! It has great flavor and isn't too spicy. The perfect combination of tangy, sweet, and spicy!
